로맨틱 코미디/스크루볼 코미디 (그리고 미스터리 스릴러 장르)에서 다루어졌던 여성의 건강 이슈, 건강하지 않은 여성의 모습들을 둘러싼, 서사 전개 과정, 인물 간의 역학 관계 등을 사례를 통해 들여다 본다. ‘비정상적’으로 설정된 여성 캐릭터를 시각적으로, 서사적으로 성립시키는 전략들을 분석해 본다.
This lecture will examine examples of women's health issues through episodes of narrative development and character relationships surrounding the appearance of unhealthy women in romantic/screwball comedy genre (and mystery thriller genre). We will analyze strategies that could, via visualization and narration, depict female characters as “abnormal.”

연세대학교 영어영문학과와 동대학원 비교문학협동과정을 졸업했다. 영화 전문지 『키노』, 『필름2.0』, 『씨네21』과 장르문학 전문지 『판타스틱』에서 10년간 기자 겸 에디터로 일했다. 추리소설을 탐닉하게 되어 결국 『범죄소설, 그 기원과 매혹』을 쓰게 되었고, 옮긴 책으로 노라 에프런의 『철들면 버려야 할 판타지에 대하여』(2012)가 있다. 현재는 엘릭시르 『미스테리아』 편집장으로 있다.
Yongeon Kim (Editor-in-chief, Elixir Mysteria, Munhakdongne)
Yongeon Kim graduated from the Department of English Literature, the Graduate School of Comparative Literature, Yonsei University. She worked as a reporter and editor for ten years for cinema magazines such as “Kino,” “Film 2.0,” and “Cine 21,” and “FANTASTIQUE,” a genre-literary magazine. She indulged in mystery novels and eventually wrote “Crime novels, their origins and fascination,” and translated Nora Ephron’s “I remember nothing, and other reflections” (2012). She is now an editor-in-chief at Elixir "Mysteria."
